How Cool is This?

Mike and I went to Merchant's Millpond in Gates County on Saturday.  They web site said it would be like visiting an enchanted forest and it was!  I would not have been surprised if a gnome suddenly appeared instead of the squirrels and lizards that kept running away from us. 

As we walked over a little bridge, we commented about the story of the troll under the bridge. 

What a lovely way to spend a day!  Watching the Boy Scouts going out on the canoes, taking pictures of the Pond, and even watching preparations for the wedding that was getting ready to take place at the museum - very nice!
